50 Years Later
April 4, Wednesday, 7pm-8pm at the Franciscan Renewal Center, 5802 E. Lincoln Dr. Scottsdale, AZ www.thecasa.org
The 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the death of Martin Luther King Jr. will be honored along with the closing of the 64 days of the Season For Nonviolence. This will be an Interfaith Ceremony beginning with a welcome by Fr. Peter Kirwin, OFM and Opening Remarks from Mauro Pando. Renee Morgan Brooks will be with us this evening to inspire us with a homily and delight and move us in song.
There will be quiet, reflective time and Hank Molder will play something on the Native American Flute.
Christine Dove will read a portion of Dr. King's speech, "Where Do We Go From Here?".
Following the ceremony, we hope you will stay for a gathering around the Peace Pole for friendship, tea and cookies.
